Cashmere is a noble fibre. It comes in an extreme variety of qualities. Except for an infinitesimal few, most cashmere socks are made of a blend of cashmere and nylon. Most cashmere socks on today's market contain a very small percentage of the actual fiber ranging from 7% to about 25%. The cashmere socks we offer contain from 75% up and we even carry the world's finest 100% cashmere.

Marcoliani makes our basic range of solids and designs although we still have a few of the older Pantherellas in the mix. Since the new owners took over, we have ceased buying the new ones due to inferior quality. We also offer the magnificent 100% cashmere argyles by Bresciani. This group comprises the traditional "thick" cashmere style. In addition, we are pleased to offer the new Zimmerli 100% Cashmere thinner dress socks. These are the finest cashmere socks available anywhere.

Cashmere is not a durable fiber. It should be washed in cold water and dried without heat. Loafers or slip-ons can have a detrimental effect as the up-and-down movement of the rear of the shoe tends to cause holes in the heel. If you seek durability, try our equally fine cashmere & silk blend instead.
