| Personal preference and comfort are the overriding arbiters here. That said, most men have at least a modicum of interest in how their choice will be perceived by their partner or spouse. You'll probably be extremely surprised at the disparity of opinions between men and women ... which is the opposite case when it comes to women's styles. | ||

First, the definitions: There are three basic styles of men's underwear.

| Boxer Shorts, in cotton or silk, are considered the classic option. They are the "quintessential, elegant, and refined - not overly showy" style. Due to the looser fit, many consider them extremely comfortable to wear with the notable exception that there is often a lot of extra material in the pants. On the downside, they offer virtually no support which is considered important by many men. Classic boxers scored in the top half with 25%-30% of women who cited their understated, classic, masculine style ... and for being different than women's usual styles. |

| Boxer Briefs and Trunks provide more support than classic boxers and are form-fitting rather than relaxed. Many find the snug fit and adherence to the body's movements more comfortable than the "extra fabric inside the pants" downside of classic boxers. Boxer Briefs, and to a lesser extent, Boxer Trunks, were the preferred option of almost half of the opposite sex who regarded their form-fitting characteristics as an overwhelming plus. |

| Briefs are worn by more than 60% of men who regard their comfort, snug fit, and support as overwhelmingly important. As well, their "legless" construction creates no constriction during any form of movement. However, briefs fall at the top of the "we simply don't agree" list. Less than 10% of women want to see their fellow in these. The reason most often cited lies in the similarity of men's briefs to women's bikini underwear. The majority of women overwhelmingly did not want to "picture him wearing my underwear". |

Summing it up ... Men: 60% Briefs; Women: 90% anything but Briefs! And by the way, no matter which style you choose, know that there is no substitute for cotton, silk, or a plant-based organic synthetic such as micromodal.
